Nothing in the game takes itself too seriously. Instead of picking up a +10 Broadswords of Flaming Might, you’ll be grabbing Lamentful Blades of Malignant Porcupines and Crossbows of the Bipolar Ladybug. They’ll have the type of stat boosts that you’re familiar with, such as increasing strength or dexterity, and despite the fact that the first few you find will be made of cardboard, they’ll deliver an appropriate amount of damage.
