WHAT IS YOUR GUITAR HERO BAND NAME?!

I play bass sometimes in DR. STRANG (DR. STRANGE was too long). But yesterday I came up with… Sex Pixels!  That is all sorts of awesomeness.

Okay, props for that. “Sex Pixels” is indeed pretty good.

My original Guitar Hero band was Venti Fellatio which was more about commodification than anything, a la Starbucks’ “venti” size, and it made it a sex/drugs/rock & roll combo (hey, caffeine’s a drug), but I found out later that “venti” is just Italian for 20, so now it’s like every other band with a number in the name. Which is to say, unintentionally tragic. (But I want to give Tahiti 80 a pass on that, because of the rhythm and near-alliteration makes it a pleasure to say.)

The first Rock Band band I helped start is called The Wasabis!, exclamation point and all. Also, last night my pal JPD and I played some Rock Band; he’s super, super good at game-guitar, and I like to come watch and also practice my game-drumming. We started a new band so I could use my new XBox Live account on his house machine and make a character, and when he let me name the band, I was kind of put on the spot, so I just named us The Segfaults because it was the first thing that came to mind. Oh, also I’ve played in The Disestablishmentarists at my friend Eran’s place. (There was also a side project held at Eran’s but I forget the name of it.)
