An inquiry, sometime in 2008
- Mom: So... what is Twitter?
- Me: It's a way for people to send out short messages to their friends or followers, or whoever is reading them. There's a 140 character limit to what you can post, because it was originally designed with text messaging in mind.
- Mom: Oh, so it's like blogging, except you can't go on and on.
- Me: Yeah, but that doesn't stop some people.
